Get your Twitter on

If you’ve missed the link at the bottom of this website then you’re missing out on so much fun you should find the nearest pillar or post and start banging your head onto it. We’re on Twitter and we have all the behind the scenes action and so much fun stuff it really should come at a price but it is free, all free.

We’re tweeting about where the players are having dinner, Lance Gibbs’ 101 quirky shirts (hey stop saying that those shirts are cheesy, they’re not!), what music Darren Bravo is playing in his room at deafening decibel levels, Chris Gayle’s outrageous sunglasses and just about everything else.

Oh yes, we do manage to slip in some actual serious cricket tweets as well. When we do get to being serious we are the first to break the team news online (yes we're right there as the captains spin the toss and tweet from the pitch!), give weather conditions at the ground (because you can never trust those wholly unrelaible weather people on tv) and the general goings on on match and practice days. We get to the ground early so we report the action before the media crews arrive and before even the teams arrive. And we're there late as well so, well, you get the general idea.

On Twitter we tell you what the players are doing for warm ups and we have a running report on how Shiv does little else than bat as warm ups. Makes sense if you ask us, can’t be anything better to warm up for batting than batting itself.

And perhaps the best thing about our tweets is that we have the DigicelCricket.com paparazzi camera which roams everywhere. We snap shots of players playing pan at the team hotel, hanging out poolside on off days or when they go to watch Usain Bolt run and countless other places where we manage to spot them hanging out or just chilling.

Our seanky little camera is always at the ground and we give you photos you won’t see in your local newspapers or on Cricinfo. Put simply, http://twitter.com/digicelcricket is where the real action is. So you would be well advised to hop on over and get your follow on. If you’ve been living under a rock somewhere in Timbuktu and you’re therefore not on Twitter as yet this is the time to sign up.

And check this bonus out: West Indies captain Chris Gayle is on Twitter as well! And he tweets regularly, several times a day actually. While we give you the behind the scenes action he gives you the thoughts and actions from the belly of the beast. He tweets from the team bus, practice, team limes, the salon while he’s getting his hair done, from social functions and just about everywhere else he finds himself. He’s quite hilarious as well. Go see for yourself at http://twitter.com/henrygayle

Ok let's be even nicer and throw in another bonus in memory of the recently departed Billy Mays. We know you live on Facebook. Come on, don't be coy, admit it, you always have good ol' FB open whether at work, at home or at play. So we're there too. Search for 'Digicel Cricket' and link us. We also post breaking news, links to interesting articles and cool photos there. Let's link up and rally for the boys together.

So if those are not enough reasons to hop on over to Twitter and Facebook, you’ll never have enough. And if you don’t check out the Twitter and Facebook action then you’re not really interested in the real behind the scenes action and breaking news on with the West Indies team. What else can we say but "your loss"?
